Jetstar had two flights, JQ 39 in the morning and JQ 37 in the late afternoon, both on an Airbus A321neo. Qantas flew QF 43 on an Airbus A330.

Virgin Australia flew VA 65 in the evening, and Batik Air flew OD 172 in the morning, both on a Boeing 737 MAX 8. Jetstar also sold connections through Melbourne, with JQ 33 to Denpasar as the second flight. Scoot connected through Singapore, with TR 41 and then TR 280 the next morning.

## How long does Sydney to Bali take?

About 6 h 20 min to 6 h 30 min non-stop, over 4,622 km. On a November flight, Bali is 3 hours behind Sydney. QF 43, for example, leaves Sydney at 16:25 and lands in Denpasar at 19:45 local time.

Connections take much longer. The Jetstar trips through Melbourne took 11 h 10 min to 13 h 50 min. The wait in Melbourne was 3 h 35 min to 6 h 15 min. Scoot took 23 h 45 min, including 12 h 35 min overnight in Singapore. Leaving Changi airport for the night means clearing Singapore immigration and filing the SG Arrival Card first (ICA).

## What baggage do Jetstar and Qantas include to Bali?

Qantas includes checked baggage on every Economy flight; Jetstar's Starter fare does not. On Qantas, the Economy allowance outside the Americas is up to 30 kg, with no single piece over 32 kg.

A Jetstar Starter fare includes carry-on only. On flights before February 2, 2027, that means 2 items weighing 7 kg together. From February 2, 2027, Jetstar Airways cuts it to one underseat bag of 40 x 30 x 20 cm. Jetstar sells checked bags at booking, later in Manage booking, or at the airport for more. ## What do Australians need to enter Bali?

A passport valid for at least 6 months, a visa, and the Bali levy. Indonesia's immigration service lists Australia among the countries eligible for a visa on arrival. The official e-Visa site gives the terms: IDR 500,000 for up to 30 days, extendable once by 30 days. A visa bought online must be used within 90 days of issue, and you need an outbound ticket.

Bali also charges international tourists a levy of IDR 150,000. It is paid on the Love Bali website, under Bali Provincial Regulation 2 of 2025. Check both rules on the official sites before you travel. We do not give visa advice.

## What if Jetstar or Qantas cancels my Bali flight?

The airline follows its conditions of carriage, and SatFares pays you back under its own rule. If the airline cancels, you get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose. If the ticket can't be issued in time, your held amount is released to your balance.

No. Indonesia allows crypto as an asset, but not as a means of payment, under Law 7/2011 on Currency. In May 2023, Bali announced sanctions against foreign tourists who pay in crypto (Antara). BTC Map lists 15 places within 25 km, 5 of them verified since 2025 (October 12, 2026). We sell the ticket; paying on the spot is another matter.

### Can I pay the Bali tourist levy with crypto?

No. The Love Bali website takes the IDR 150,000 levy by bank transfer, virtual account or QRIS, and emails a levy voucher. SatFares sells flights only, so the levy is not part of your booking. You pay it yourself, on the official Love Bali website.

### Can I get the Indonesian visa online before I fly?

Indonesia's official e-Visa site sells it online. Its published terms are IDR 500,000 for a stay of up to 30 days, extendable for another 30 days. The visa must be used within 90 days of issue. Check on that site that your passport is eligible, and that it is valid for at least 6 months.
