Exchange checkouts such as Binance Pay are not accepted. A normal withdrawal to our deposit address is. Here is how to pick the network, cover the withdrawal fee and avoid the usual errors.

**Quick answer — Can I pay for flights from Binance or Coinbase?**

You can pay for flights from Binance or Coinbase at **SatFares**, a flight booking site paid only in crypto. Binance Pay and other exchange checkouts are not accepted. Instead, withdraw the coins to the address on our payment page, on the exact network. We accept BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, from $25. Only the amount that arrives after the exchange fee counts. At checkout, the fare is held, not charged, until the e-ticket is issued.

## Can I pay for a flight with Binance Pay?

No. SatFares does not accept Binance Pay, Crypto.com Pay or any other exchange checkout button. You can still use the coins you hold on Binance: send them with a normal withdrawal.

Binance describes Binance Pay as a crypto payment technology. It pays merchants that accept it, or sends crypto to friends and family. It is open to eligible users in supported countries, after identity verification (Binance FAQ, updated June 2, 2026).

A withdrawal works differently. It moves coins on a public blockchain to any address you paste, and that is what our payment page needs. Searching for "Binance travel"? Binance Pay is a way to pay, not a seller of airline tickets. Sellers that take it say so at their own checkout: see [crypto flight booking sites compared](https://satfares.com/best-sites-to-book-flights-with-crypto/).

## How do I pay from Coinbase or the Crypto.com app?

Send the coins from the app to our deposit address, as you would send to any external wallet. Pick the same coin and the same network as on the payment page.

- **Coinbase:** its User Agreement says Coinbase calculates the network fee. It shows that fee at or before the moment you authorize the transfer. The agreement, updated July 22, 2026, contains no fixed fee table.
- **Crypto.com app:** its Help Center says withdrawal minimums and fees vary by coin. The app lists them in its menu, under Settings, then About, then Fees & Limits. The same page sets a maximum of 10 BTC, or the equivalent, per rolling 24 hours.

Check which networks the app offers for your coin before you start. If it offers none of ours for that coin, choose another option from [the coins and networks we accept](https://satfares.com/pay/).

## How do I send crypto from an exchange to SatFares?

Start the top-up on SatFares first, then make the withdrawal on the exchange.

1. **Start a top-up** — Choose the amount in US dollars, from $25. Then choose the coin and the network you will send from your exchange.
2. **Copy the address and the exact amount** — The payment page shows our deposit address for that network and an exact amount with unique last digits. Copy and paste the address; do not type it.
3. **Open a withdrawal on the exchange** — Exchanges call it Withdraw or Send. Select the same coin, paste the address, then select the same network as on our payment page.
4. **Make the exact amount arrive** — Add the withdrawal fee on top, so the amount received matches the payment page. On Binance, the "Receive amount" option adds the network fee to the total.
5. **Confirm and keep the TXID** — Confirm with your exchange's security check. Then click "I've sent the payment" on our page, and keep the transaction ID (TXID) from the exchange.
6. **Book from your balance** — Your balance is credited after the network confirmations. At checkout, the fare is held, not charged, until the airline issues the e-ticket number.

## Which network do I pick on the exchange?

Pick the network that matches the option you chose on our payment page, never the one with the lowest fee. Binance's own withdrawal guide says the same: pick the network the receiving platform supports, whatever its fee.

| Coin you send | Network to pick | Networks that do not reach us |
| --- | --- | --- |
| USDT | Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20): the one you chose at checkout | BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), TON, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum and all others |
| USDC | Ethereum (ERC-20) | Base, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain and all others |
| BTC | Bitcoin | Lightning Network, BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Ethereum (ERC-20) |
| ETH | Ethereum main network | Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and other layer-2 networks |
| SOL | Solana | Any other network |
| LTC | Litecoin | Any other network |

Exchanges name networks differently. On October 13, 2026, Binance showed "Tron (TRC20)" and "Ethereum (ERC20)", and Kraken showed "USDT - Tron" and "USDT - Ethereum". Guides per option: [USDT on TRC-20](https://satfares.com/pay/usdt-trc20/), [USDT on ERC-20](https://satfares.com/pay/usdt-erc20/), [USDC](https://satfares.com/pay/usdc-erc20/), [BTC](https://satfares.com/pay/btc/).

## What if I withdraw on the wrong network?

The coins may be lost, and neither the exchange nor SatFares can promise to get them back. Binance warns that funds sent on the wrong network might not be recoverable. Coinbase's User Agreement says supported coins sent to an incompatible wallet address are lost.

The usual traps on an exchange:

- **USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) sent to our Ethereum address.** Both addresses start with 0x, so the exchange may let it through.
- **BTC on Lightning, BEP-20 or ERC-20.** Binance lists all three for BTC; only the Bitcoin network reaches a Bitcoin address.
- **USDC on Base, Solana or Polygon.** We accept USDC on Ethereum only.

Already sent on the wrong network? Contact support with the TXID, the coin, the network and the amount. We can't promise to recover the funds.

## How much do I withdraw to cover a ticket?

Withdraw enough for the exact amount on the payment page to arrive after the exchange fee. Your payment is matched by that exact amount, down to its last digits.

Binance offers two ways to enter the amount, per its withdrawal guide updated September 18, 2026:

- **Receive amount:** you type what the recipient gets, and the network fee is added on top.
- **Withdrawal amount:** the fee is taken from what you type, so less arrives.

Example: a $300 top-up in USDT on Tron shows about 300 USDT, with unique last digits. With Binance's withdrawal fee of 1.5 USDT on October 13, 2026, about 301.5 USDT leaves your account.

The top-up must be at least $25 and meet the exchange's own minimum. Top up only what you plan to spend: an unspent top-up can't be withdrawn. See the [real cost of paying in crypto](https://satfares.com/real-cost-of-paying-in-crypto/).

## What do exchanges charge to withdraw USDT, USDC or BTC?

Each exchange sets its own withdrawal fee and minimum for each network. These are the figures printed on each official page on October 13, 2026. Exchanges are listed in alphabetical order, with no ranking. Fees change often; check the exchange before you withdraw.

| Exchange | USDT on Tron (TRC-20) | USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) | USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) | BTC on Bitcoin | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Binance | Fee 1.5 USDT; minimum 5 USDT | Fee 0.5 USDT; minimum 5 USDT | Fee 0.5 USDC; minimum 5 USDC | Fee 0.00002 BTC; minimum 0.0001 BTC | Binance, Crypto Deposit & Withdrawal Fees page |
| Coinbase | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Coinbase User Agreement (United States), updated July 22, 2026: network fee shown at or before you authorize |
| Crypto.com app | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Not published / check the exchange | Crypto.com Help Center: figures shown only in the app, under Fees & Limits |
| Kraken | Fee 1.00 USDT; minimum 6.00 USDT | Fee 0.9613 USDT; minimum 1.15356 USDT | Fee 0.9728 USDC; minimum 1.16736 USDC | Fee 0.00001500 BTC; minimum 0.00021800 BTC | Kraken Support, Cryptocurrency withdrawal fees and minimums |

Fees change often; check the exchange before you withdraw. Binance says its withdrawal rates can change without notice with network congestion. Kraken says the final fee is the one shown when you confirm. The figure on your own withdrawal screen is the one that applies. This page has no affiliate links.

## Do I need a memo or tag to pay from an exchange?

No. Our payment page gives an address and an exact amount, with no memo or tag. Binance asks for a memo only on certain networks, such as XRP or EOS, per its withdrawal guide. We accept neither of them. On Bitcoin, Tron, Ethereum, Solana and Litecoin, the address and the exact amount are all you need.

## Will my exchange hold or check the withdrawal?

It may, and these checks are set by the exchange, not by SatFares. Three examples from official help pages:

- **Binance:** with the withdrawal whitelist on, you can only withdraw to saved addresses. An optional limit holds withdrawals to newly added addresses for 24, 48 or 72 hours (FAQ updated March 3, 2025).
- **Kraken:** you must add and confirm a new withdrawal address first. The approval link sent by email stays valid for one hour. After a password change without Sign-in 2FA or a Master Key, new addresses are held for 24 hours.
- **Coinbase:** its User Agreement says it may need to retrieve keys from offline storage, which may delay a transfer.

For BTC, ETH, SOL or LTC, a long hold matters. A payment seen after the rate lock on our payment page ends can be valued at a different rate.

## How long until my balance is credited?

It depends on two delays: your exchange's processing, then the network confirmations we wait for. Neither is under our control, so we promise no delay.

At SatFares, a top-up is credited after a set number of confirmations. BTC needs 2, USDT on Tron 20, Ethereum 12, SOL 1 and LTC 6. The payment page counts them as they arrive. If you close the tab, the pending top-up stays under Billing in your account.

Then you book from the balance. How booking works: bookings are made on request: after checkout, our team books the ticket with the airline and confirms the final total; if it is higher, you accept it or the amount is released, and if the ticket can't be issued in time, the amount is released. More in [how it works](https://satfares.com/how-it-works/).

## Is paying for a flight from an exchange a taxable event?

It may be. Paying in crypto may be a taxable event in your country, because spending a coin can count as disposing of it. In the United States, the IRS lists paying for goods or services with a digital asset as a transaction to report. Its page was last reviewed on September 2, 2026.

Check your local rules or ask a tax adviser; SatFares gives no tax advice. What your bank and others can see is explained in [will my bank see it](https://satfares.com/will-my-bank-see-it/).

> **About the exchanges named on this page** We name exchanges only to explain their settings and published fees. We do not rank them or recommend one. This page has no affiliate links. Every figure comes from the exchange's own pages, read on October 13, 2026.

## Paying for flights from an exchange: questions

### Can I pay for flights with Binance Pay?

No. SatFares does not accept Binance Pay or other exchange payment buttons. Use a normal Binance withdrawal instead: send BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC to the address on our payment page, on the matching network. The amount that arrives must match the exact amount shown, so add the withdrawal fee on top.

### Can I book flights with Coinbase?

Yes, by sending crypto from Coinbase to your SatFares balance. Start a top-up, copy the address and the exact amount, then send the same coin on the same network. Coinbase shows its network fee before you authorize the transfer. Once your balance is credited, you book from it, and the fare is held, not charged, until the e-ticket is issued.

### Can I pay from the Crypto.com app?

Yes, with a withdrawal to an external address, but not with Crypto.com Pay. Choose the same coin and network as on our payment page. The app lists its minimums and fees in its menu, under Settings, then About, then Fees & Limits. Its Help Center sets a maximum of 10 BTC, or the equivalent, per rolling 24 hours.

### What if I withdrew on the wrong network?

Contact support with the transaction ID (TXID), the coin, the network and the amount. Coins sent on a network we do not accept may be lost, and we can't promise to recover them. A frequent case is USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) sent to an Ethereum address, because both addresses start with 0x.

### How much should I send from my exchange?

Send enough for the exact amount on the payment page to arrive, after the withdrawal fee. That amount, with its unique last digits, is how we match your payment. On Binance, the "Receive amount" option adds the fee on top. Your top-up must be at least $25 and cover the ticket total.

### How long does a withdrawal from an exchange take?

It depends on your exchange and on the network. Exchanges may hold new addresses: Binance offers an optional 24, 48 or 72-hour hold. We then wait for the network confirmations, from 1 for SOL to 20 for USDT on Tron. We promise no delay, because neither step is under our control.

### Is a Binance Pay payment the same as a Binance withdrawal?

No. Binance Pay pays merchants that accept it, or sends crypto to friends and family, per Binance's FAQ. A withdrawal sends coins on a public blockchain to an address you paste, with a network fee. SatFares receives payments only by blockchain transfer, so a withdrawal is the way to pay from Binance.

### Does SatFares charge extra when I pay from an exchange?

No. The price shown is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. It does not change with the coin or the exchange you use. Our fee: none (no booking fee or payment fee is added). The withdrawal fee is charged by your exchange and goes to it, not to SatFares.

### Do I need to verify my identity to pay from an exchange?

Not at SatFares: there is no ID upload and no selfie at checkout. Airline ID rules still apply, so we ask for the passenger details the airline needs, such as names exactly as on the passport. Your exchange has its own rules: Binance, for example, requires identity verification to use Binance Pay.

### Can a refund go back to my exchange account?

Yes, after an airline cancellation, if you choose a stablecoin refund. You get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose. A USDT or USDC refund goes to an address you give us, with its network, and we screen it first. That address can be an exchange deposit address. An unspent top-up can't be withdrawn.

SatFares: SatFares is a flight booking site paid only in crypto (USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The airline issues the ticket in the traveller's name, and your balance is charged only when the e-ticket number is issued.
