How does FGTS payment work on Azul?
FGTS is the Brazilian workers' guarantee fund. Azul accepts an advance on the yearly FGTS withdrawal, through Banco Digio, in the Azul app only. The FGTS account holder must be one of the travellers, and FGTS can't be combined with a credit card or Pix.
If Azul cancels the booking more than 24 hours after the FGTS payment is approved, it deposits the full amount into a bank account the customer names.
Does Azul charge an issuance fee?
Not online. Purchases on the Azul website and app carry no issuance fee. At airports and stores, a domestic ticket costs R$130 up to R$1,500, or 10% above that, and an international ticket costs 7% of the fare.
