Which sites accept USDT on Tron (TRC-20)?

Travala, Cryptorefills and KryptoMate accept USDT on Tron, per their own pages. Trip.com accepts it per the press. Laters does not: its USDT goes through Crypto.com Pay on Cronos, ERC-20 and Polygon. Alternative Airlines does not name its networks.

SatFares also accepts USDT on TRC-20, credited after 20 confirmations, and on ERC-20 after 12. Send USDT on TRC-20 only to the TRC-20 address shown. Funds sent on another network may be lost. See how to pay with USDT on TRC-20.

Which sites refund you in crypto if the airline cancels?

Few say so clearly. As of October 12, 2026, per their own pages:

  • Laters: CRO, BTC, ETH, USDC or TUSD, minus network fees.
  • Alternative Airlines: USDT payments in USDT, minus any applicable fees.
  • Cryptorefills: fiat money.
  • Travala: Travel Credits for direct crypto payments.
  • SatFares (ours): a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose.

US and EU rules require money, not credit, after an airline cancellation, unless you agree. Your rights are explained in refunds when the airline cancels. Fees and delays are in the refund policy matrix.

Which site fits which need?

Pick the fact that matters most to you. Per each seller's own pages, as of October 12, 2026:

  • You pay in BTC, ETH, USDC, or USDT on ERC-20 or Polygon, and want crypto back: Laters.
  • You hold a less common coin, or pay through a payment processor: Alternative Airlines.
  • You pay on Tron, TON, Solana or Base, with no account: Cryptorefills.
  • You pay with Bitcoin Lightning, or through Binance Pay: Travala, which refunds Binance Pay payments in USDT.
  • You also want card or pay-later options: Travorio.
  • You pay on a network that other sellers do not take: KryptoMate.
  • You hold stablecoins in a market where the option shows: Trip.com.
  • You want USDT or USDC back when the airline cancels: SatFares, our own service.

Can I pay an airline directly in crypto instead?

Rarely. As of October 2026, very few airlines take crypto on their own site, and with conditions:

  • Emirates: Crypto.com Pay since July 28, 2026, for UAE residents booking in AED only.
  • airBaltic: bitcoin through BitPay, for GREEN and GREEN plus tickets only.
  • FlySafair: bitcoin over Lightning in South Africa, through MoneyBadger, Ozow or Zapper, per the press (March 2026).
  • US airlines: none in direct, per the sources we read.

The dated list, with sources, is in our airline crypto acceptance index.

Booking direct with the airline

Is it better to book flights directly with the airline?

It depends on how you pay. Booking direct means the airline handles your changes and refunds itself. A US credit card adds a legal dispute process under the Fair Credit Billing Act, per the FTC. Crypto payments typically are not reversible and have no such protection, the FTC says. So if you pay in crypto, read the seller's refund terms before you pay.

What about CheapAir, Expedia and Bitrefill?

Two of them are out of date in many lists. CheapAir closed to the public in 2024, and cheapair.com now redirects to another company: see does CheapAir still accept Bitcoin?. Expedia stopped accepting bitcoin on June 10, 2018.

Bitrefill sells airline gift cards, not bookings. Delta and Flightgift cards cost their face value, and a Southwest card costs $0.25 more. A gift card is cheap if you know what to book, but you then book with the airline yourself.

How did we build this comparison?

We read each seller's own terms, help and payment pages on October 12, 2026. Trip.com returned an error page to our checks, so its facts come from the press. We made no test booking with any competitor. Quotes are the seller's own words.

The order follows written facts only: the refund form, then networks named, then fees published. It is not a quality rating, and we publish no ratings. We sell airline tickets paid in crypto, so our service is shown apart. If a fact is wrong, write to [email protected] with the source. We update a row when we see a change or a reader sends us a source.

Questions about booking flights with crypto

Can I book flights with Bitcoin in 2026?

Yes: as of October 12, 2026, Laters, Alternative Airlines, Travala, Travorio and KryptoMate take bitcoin for flights, and so does SatFares. SatFares takes on-chain BTC, credited after 2 confirmations. Cryptorefills excludes on-chain BTC for flights. Among airlines, airBaltic takes bitcoin at its own checkout through BitPay, for GREEN and GREEN plus fares only.

Which crypto flight site refunds in USDT?

Alternative Airlines refunds USDT payments in USDT, minus any applicable fees. Laters does not refund in USDT. Travala refunds direct crypto payments as Travel Credits, and Binance Pay payments in USDT. SatFares, our own service, refunds airline cancellations in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or as balance credit if you choose it.

Why is SatFares not in the numbered list?

Because we publish this page and sell flights paid in crypto. Placing ourselves in the list would not be neutral. Our service is shown apart, after the list, with the same facts as the other sites. Our row in the comparison table is last and marked. The order of the list follows written facts, not a quality rating.

Do I need KYC to book a flight with crypto?

Not at SatFares: no KYC to top up, and no ID upload or selfie at checkout. Cryptorefills needs no account, only an email. Travala allows guest checkout, but its terms allow an ID check at any time. Every airline still requires each traveller's exact name, date of birth and sex.

Which site has the most cryptocurrencies?

Travala lists 129 payment options, KryptoMate "200+" cryptocurrencies and Alternative Airlines "100+". SatFares takes six: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. Fewer coins, but every network and its confirmations are published: for example, USDT on TRC-20 needs 20 confirmations and on ERC-20 needs 12.

Is SatFares cheaper than the other sites?

We can't say yet: we have no measured price comparison. The price we show is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. Our fee: none (no booking fee or payment fee is added). Network fees depend on the coin and network you send. We will publish a dated comparison only once we have measured it.

Can I book Ryanair or Wizz Air with crypto?

Yes, on request with SatFares, which can search and book Ryanair, Wizz Air, AirAsia and other low-cost airlines. You pay from a crypto balance, held until the e-ticket number is issued. Ryanair requires its own ID verification for bookings made through an agent without a commercial agreement. See low-cost airlines and crypto.

Is SatFares a travel agency with a licence?

SatFares claims no travel licence or accreditation, and has no registration number to publish yet. It is a flight booking site paid only in crypto, operated by TravelGoat LLC, United States. Each booking is a single travel service, not a package, and flights are not ATOL protected. Your flight booking will be bound by the fare rules and Conditions of Carriage of the airline(s).

How often is this comparison updated?

Each row shows the date of our last check, October 12, 2026 for this edition. We update a row when we see a change on a seller's pages, or when a reader sends us a source. The date changes only after a real check of each seller's pages. Write to [email protected] if you see a change.
