Which payment methods does Iberia accept?
On its US site, Iberia shows seven: PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit and debit cards with the Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners logos, the Iberia Gift Card, Iberia vouchers and Avios. Its payment FAQ adds Bizum, SOFORT bank transfer and instalments, for Spain.
Iberia offers different payment solutions in each country and shows yours at the time of purchase. We found no crypto in any of them.
Does Iberia charge a card surcharge?
Not in Spain: Iberia says transactions made in Spain carry no surcharge. In some countries, paying with a corporate credit card adds a charge, shown when you enter the card.
On SatFares, the price shown is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. Our fee: none (no booking fee or payment fee is added). The coin you top up with does not change the price.
Why is there a hold on my card after an Iberia booking?
Because some banks place a pre-authorisation first. Iberia debits the card at the end of the online purchase, and says a bank pre-authorisation should not last more than 7 days.
SatFares uses a hold too, but on your crypto balance, not on a card. It becomes a charge only when Iberia issues the e-ticket number; if no ticket can be issued in time, the hold is released.
How do I book Iberia with crypto?
Iberia on SatFares: Available. Its hub is Madrid (MAD); see Buenos Aires to Madrid and flights to Madrid.
Top up from $25 in USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20, or BTC, ETH, SOL or LTC. Then book from your balance; our team books the ticket with Iberia on request. From Argentina? Pay in stablecoins; local tax and exchange rules still apply. See flights from Argentina.
What if Iberia cancels my flight?
You get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose. If you cancel yourself, Iberia's fare rules apply, and any refund is credited to your balance. Flights from EU airports are also covered by EU Regulation 261/2004. Your flight booking will be bound by the fare rules and Conditions of Carriage of the airline(s).
