Which payment methods does Korean Air accept?
Korean Air publishes two guides. The global one lists cards and PayPal everywhere, then methods by region. In Australia it is PayTo; in China, WeChat Pay, Alipay and UnionPay; in Europe, bank transfer and iDEAL. Hong Kong has FPS, Japan has Konbini and LINE Pay, and Southeast Asia has PromptPay and DuitNow. Apple Pay works in the Americas.
The Korea guide adds Korean cards and easy-pay apps: Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, PAYCO, Toss Pay, Samsung Pay and BankPay. Neither guide mentions crypto or bitcoin.
Can I change the payment method of a Korean Air ticket?
No. Korean Air says you may not switch payment methods after a ticket has been purchased, so the first choice stays with the ticket.
On SatFares, the method is always your balance. If Korean Air cancels, you get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose.
Can I pay Korean Air with PayPal?
Only for tickets booked at least 72 hours before departure, in 13 currencies. KRW, CNY, MYR and IDR are among the currencies PayPal can't be used for. Cards issued outside Korea can't pay in instalments, and their details must be typed in English letters and numbers.
A crypto top-up on SatFares has no such limits on timing or currency: you book when your balance is credited.
How do I book Korean Air with crypto?
Korean Air on SatFares: Available. Its hub is Seoul Incheon (ICN). Popular pages: Seoul to Da Nang and flights from South Korea.
Send USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20, or BTC, ETH, SOL or LTC. Book the flight: the total is held while our team books it on request, and charged once Korean Air issues the e-ticket number. The price shown is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. If you cancel yourself, the fare rules decide, and any refund goes to your balance. Your flight booking will be bound by the fare rules and Conditions of Carriage of the airline(s).
Frequently asked questions
Does Korean Air accept Bitcoin?
No. Neither of Korean Air's official payment guides, read on October 12, 2026, mentions bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. With SatFares, you can pay a Korean Air ticket in BTC on the Bitcoin network, credited after 2 confirmations. Its hub is Seoul Incheon (ICN).
Can I pay Korean Air with Kakao Pay?
Yes, in Korea. Kakao Pay is one of the easy-pay apps in Korean Air's Korea guide, with Naver Pay, PAYCO, Toss Pay, Samsung Pay and BankPay. Outside Korea, the global guide applies: cards, PayPal and regional methods such as Konbini in Japan or FPS in Hong Kong.
Is Korean Air in SkyTeam?
Yes. Korean Air is a member of the SkyTeam alliance, according to SkyTeam's member list checked on October 12, 2026. Asiana Airlines, also based at Incheon, is a Star Alliance member. Both are sold on request by SatFares and paid from a crypto balance.
Who receives the refund of a Konbini payment?
The ticket holder. If a ticket paid at a Japanese convenience store is cancelled, Korean Air pays the refund to a bank account. That account is in the ticket holder's name, not the buyer's. On SatFares, refunds go to your balance or are paid in USDT or USDC.
Can I pay Korean Air with USDT from South Korea?
Not on koreanair.com. Through SatFares, yes: top up in USDT and book from your balance. Local tax and exchange rules still apply, and paying in crypto may be a taxable event in your country. USDT works on TRC-20 or ERC-20.
What data does Korean Air need for my ticket?
Each traveller's names exactly as in the passport, date of birth and gender, plus passport details for international flights. No ID upload, no selfie at checkout. Airline ID rules still apply. We pass them to Korean Air only, and you show the passport at the airport.
