Quick answer
Does Air Arabia accept crypto?
Not confirmed today. On May 26, 2025, Air Arabia announced that customers could pay in AE Coin, a stablecoin backed 1:1 by the UAE dirham, through the AEC Wallet app. On October 12, 2026, its official payment-options page did not list that option. What is AE Coin, and can I use it on Air Arabia?
AE Coin is a stablecoin backed 1:1 by the UAE dirham. In its release of May 26, 2025, Air Arabia said customers could select the AEC Wallet at checkout on its website. It called itself the first airline in the region to offer stablecoin payments.
To use the wallet, you download the AEC Wallet app, create an account and verify your identity. On October 12, 2026, the official payment-options page did not show the AEC Wallet. Checkouts can differ by market, so we mark the option "announced in the past, not confirmed today" until an official page lists it again.
Can I pay Air Arabia with USDT or bitcoin?
Not on Air Arabia's own pages: they name no other crypto than the AE Coin of the 2025 release. AE Coin is a dirham coin, not USDT or USDC.
With SatFares, you top up in USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20, or BTC, ETH, SOL and LTC. Air Arabia on SatFares: Available. Flights depend on our live search, so look for Air Arabia flights for your date and route.
Which ways to pay does Air Arabia list?
On October 12, 2026, the official payment-options page listed:
- debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Tabby and Klarna;

- local methods in India and Morocco: UPI, cards and mobile banking;
- local methods elsewhere: online payments in Egypt, Malaysia and Thailand, and bank transfers or cards in the Netherlands and Belgium;

How would a SatFares booking of Air Arabia work?
When Air Arabia appears in your search, the steps are the same as for any airline on SatFares. You top up from $25, pick the flight, and the total is held on your balance. Our team then books the ticket on request and confirms the final total. Your balance is charged only when Air Arabia issues the e-ticket number. If it can't be issued in time, the amount is released.
The price shown is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. Air Arabia's hub is Sharjah (SHJ); see also flights to Dubai.
What if Air Arabia cancels my flight?
On a SatFares booking, you get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose. If you cancel yourself, Air Arabia's fare rules decide, and any refund goes to your balance. Your flight booking will be bound by the fare rules and Conditions of Carriage of the airline(s).
Frequently asked questions
Is AE Coin the same as USDT?
No. AE Coin is backed 1:1 by the UAE dirham, while USDT and USDC follow the US dollar. Air Arabia's 2025 release named AE Coin only. SatFares accepts USDT and USDC, not AE Coin. On SatFares, USDT works on TRC-20 or ERC-20, and USDC on ERC-20.
Do I need to verify my identity to use the AEC Wallet?
Yes. Air Arabia's release says you create an account in the AEC Wallet app, verify your identity and top up the wallet before paying. That check is done by the wallet provider. At SatFares checkout there is no ID upload and no selfie; airline ID rules still apply.
Does SatFares sell Air Arabia tickets?
Our status for Air Arabia is "Available". Its flights appear when our live search returns them for your date and route. If Air Arabia shows up, you can pay it from your crypto balance, and our team books it on request.
Can I hold an Air Arabia fare before paying?

Can I pay Air Arabia in cash?
Yes. Air Arabia lists cash payment at its sales offices, partner travel agents, partner banks, money exchange houses, retail chains and post offices. You can also pay through its contact centre with your booking reference. Air Arabia also lets you hold a fare for up to 24 hours before paying.
