Can I book Ryanair, Wizz Air or AirAsia with crypto?

Short answer: yes, on request. Ryanair, Wizz Air and AirAsia take no crypto at their own checkout, but you can book them with SatFares from a crypto balance. Here is how an on-request booking works, what Ryanair asks of agency bookings, and which budget airlines announced crypto.

Quick answer

Can I book Ryanair, Wizz Air or AirAsia with crypto?

Yes, on request. SatFares, a flight booking site paid only in crypto, can search and book Ryanair, Wizz Air, AirAsia, IndiGo, Spirit and other low-cost airlines. The airlines themselves take no crypto: on October 12, 2026, Ryanair and Wizz Air listed none, and AirAsia had no direct crypto payment. Your balance is held, not charged, until the airline issues the e-ticket number.

Does Ryanair accept crypto?

No. On October 12, 2026, Ryanair's help centre listed Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners/Discover and UATP cards, plus some debit cards. It also listed Apple Pay (in the Ryanair app only), Google Pay and PayPal. Non-card options were iDEAL in the Netherlands and Pay by Bank in seven countries. No cryptocurrency was on the list.

Ryanair also says a payment fee may apply, depending on the method. You see it in the total once you enter your card number.

Can I book Ryanair with crypto on SatFares?

Yes, on request. You pay SatFares from a crypto balance, and our team books the Ryanair ticket and confirms the final total. Ryanair issues the e-ticket in the traveller's name.

Plan for one extra step. Ryanair's third-party hub says that passengers booked through an agent without a commercial agreement must verify themselves. The free route is a signed form and a passport photo, which can take up to 7 days. A paid express check uses facial recognition. Either one must be done at least 3 hours before departure, so book early enough to complete it.

Does Wizz Air accept crypto?

No. On October 12, 2026, Wizz Air's help centre listed credit and debit cards, bank transfer, WIZZ Credits and WIZZ gift vouchers. The cards were Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Diners, Discover and UATP. It also listed cash at the airport sales desk, Revolut Pay, and iDEAL, Przelewy24 or Trustly in some countries. No cryptocurrency was on the list.

With SatFares, you can still book Wizz Air on request and pay from a crypto balance. Its row in the airline crypto index shows the date and source of our check.

Does AirAsia accept crypto?

No direct crypto payment was found for AirAsia. In 2018, the airline group talked about a "BigCoin" token for rewards, but no launch was confirmed. Pages that offer "AirAsia with crypto" are third-party agencies, which buy the ticket for you.

SatFares is one of them: AirAsia can be searched and booked on request, paid from a crypto balance. Whoever sells you an AirAsia ticket for crypto, check three things. Who issues the ticket? How is a refund paid? Will the airline ask for extra checks?

How does an on-request booking work?

The same steps apply to every airline, low-cost or not. No issuing time is promised, and your e-ticket arrives in "My trips".

  1. Your balance is held at checkout

The exact total shown is held on your balance. Nothing is charged yet.

  2. We book the ticket for you

Bookings are made on request: our team books the ticket with the airline and confirms the final total. If it is higher than the amount held, you accept the new total or the amount is released.

  3. Charged only when the e-ticket number is issued

Your balance is charged when the airline issues the e-ticket number. If we can't get the ticket issued in time, the full amount is released to your balance.

If the total changes before the ticket is issued, you see the new total and choose: accept it, or have the amount released. Nothing extra is ever taken without your agreement.

Are checked bags included in a low-cost fare?

Often not. On many low-cost airlines, a checked bag costs extra, and the cabin allowance depends on the fare. With SatFares, baggage and fare rules (changes, refunds) are confirmed with your booking and shown on your e-ticket.

Read the baggage line of your e-ticket before you go to the airport. A bag added later is bought from the airline under its own rules. The search price is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged.

Can I book Jet2 or easyJet with crypto?

Not yet. Jet2 and easyJet are British airlines in our dataset, and Jet2 flies to and from the United Kingdom. Flights to or from the United Kingdom are paused at launch. Selling flight-only tickets there requires ATOL arrangements that we have not put in place.

The table below therefore marks both airlines as not available for now. Flights on SatFares are not ATOL protected. The full list of places we can't sell is on sanctions and restrictions.

Which other low-cost airlines can I book with crypto?

Many low-cost airlines of our dataset can be searched on SatFares. Examples: Vueling, Transavia, Norwegian, Pegasus Airlines, flydubai, JetBlue, Frontier Airlines, Volaris, GOL, Scoot and Jetstar. A given flight still depends on our live search: an airline can be missing on one date or route.

You top up a balance from $25 and book from it. Sanctioned airlines are never sold, whatever the route.

Which low-cost airlines take crypto themselves?

Only one is reported to do it today. Three others announced crypto in the past, but their official payment pages list none today:

  • FlySafair (South Africa) takes bitcoin over Lightning through MoneyBadger and Zapper, according to Daily Maverick (March 15, 2026). Its own site did not confirm it to us.
  • Air Arabia announced the AE Coin stablecoin through the AEC Wallet on May 26, 2025. Its payment page did not list it on October 12, 2026.
  • Vueling announced bitcoin through BitPay in June 2022, to start in early 2023. Daily Maverick says crypto checkout started in 2023. Its help page lists no crypto today.
  • Peach Aviation announced bitcoin in 2017, according to third-party reports. Its payment page lists no crypto today.

Ryanair, Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines and flydubai list no crypto on their official payment pages (checked October 12, 2026).

Can I use a gift card bought with crypto instead?

Sometimes, for US airlines. As of October 12, 2026, Bitrefill sold Southwest Airlines gift cards for crypto at $0.25 above face value. You then book on the airline's site yourself and use the card as payment.

A gift card is cheap if you already know your flight. It adds steps: you buy the card, wait for the code, then book. With SatFares, one crypto balance pays the ticket, and the amount is only charged when the e-ticket number is issued.

What if a low-cost airline cancels my flight?

With SatFares, you get a refund in USDT or USDC within 7 days, or a balance credit, as you choose. Low-cost fares are often non-refundable when you cancel yourself: then the fare rules decide, and any refund is credited to your balance. Your flight booking will be bound by the fare rules and Conditions of Carriage of the airline(s). See refunds when the airline cancels and flexible tickets.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay Ryanair with bitcoin or USDT?

Not on ryanair.com. Its help centre, checked on October 12, 2026, lists cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, iDEAL and Pay by Bank, and no cryptocurrency. With SatFares, you can book Ryanair on request from a balance topped up in BTC or USDT. Ryanair may then require its own passenger verification at least 3 hours before departure.

Can I pay Wizz Air with bitcoin?

Not on Wizz Air's own site. Its official payment page listed no bitcoin and no other cryptocurrency on October 12, 2026. With SatFares, you can book Wizz Air on request and pay from a balance topped up in BTC on the Bitcoin network. Look for a dated source before you trust a list that says Wizz Air takes crypto.

Can I pay AirAsia with bitcoin?

Not directly, as far as we found on October 12, 2026: AirAsia had no direct crypto payment. Its "BigCoin" token project of 2018 was never confirmed. Pages that offer AirAsia with crypto are third-party agencies. With SatFares, you can book AirAsia on request from a balance topped up in BTC, USDT or another accepted coin.

Can I book IndiGo or Spirit with USDT?

Yes, on request, when the airline appears in our live search for your date and route. You pay SatFares from a balance topped up in USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, or in another accepted coin. We have not checked the payment pages of IndiGo and Spirit yet, so we show no crypto status for them.

How long does an on-request booking take?

No issuing time is promised. After checkout, our team books the ticket with the airline and confirms the final total. Nothing is charged until the airline issues the e-ticket number. If the ticket can't be issued in time, the full amount is released to your balance. Your e-ticket then appears in "My trips".

Which budget airline takes bitcoin directly?

FlySafair in South Africa is reported to take bitcoin over the Lightning network, through MoneyBadger (Daily Maverick, March 15, 2026). We could not confirm it on FlySafair's own site. SatFares does not accept Lightning payments. Air Arabia's AE Coin option, announced in 2025, was not on its payment page on October 12, 2026.

Do low-cost airlines check who paid?

Some do. Ryanair asks passengers booked through an agent without a commercial agreement to verify themselves. Other airlines may check the card holder of a card payment. When you pay SatFares in crypto, no card of yours is used for the ticket, but you still show your passport at the airport.

What data do I give for a low-cost ticket?

Each traveller's names exactly as in the passport, date of birth and gender, plus passport details for international trips. No ID upload, no selfie at checkout. Airline ID rules still apply. We pass these details to the airline only, to issue the ticket. See what data airlines require.

Is the fare on SatFares the same as on the airline's site?

We do not promise that. The price shown in search is the fare found live for all passengers, in US dollars, taxes included, with no fee added; the final total is confirmed before you are charged. Our fee: none (no booking fee or payment fee is added). If the total is higher when our team books, you accept it or the amount is released. Nothing extra is taken without your agreement, and a lower price is never promised.
